At present, there are more than 1,000 automated production lines for corrugated paperboard with more than three or more layers in the country. This does not include the transformation of enterprises themselves. The import of large lines is also common in developed provinces and regions, especially in developed areas of packaging industry, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shandong and other provinces. However, as customers demand more and more cardboard boxes, at least half of all corrugated paperboards cannot meet customer requirements in terms of adhesive strength and pressure resistance, or simply barely meet national standards. Some carton companies have not yet fully realized the important impact of corrugated cardboard adhesives on the moisture resistance and water resistance of cartons. This lack of understanding has led to some companies not even knowing this. For moisture protection, carton companies are all aware of the application of moisture-proof agents on the surface, but the application of moisture-proof agents will inevitably increase the cost, and it will bring about consumption of people, equipment, energy, and efficiency, while the problems of fighting moisture and water resistance will still not be properly resolved. .
Carton enterprises have realized that carton is not resistant to moisture and water, and it is generally believed that the factory is the same production method for decades, and customers can still survive. The domestic enterprises (customers) that have water resistance requirements for cartons are still a minority, and there are Xinfei Electric, LG Electronics (Korea), Taixinglong Food (Singapore), and of course, many carton companies have already This technology is used by companies that are not aware of their use, such as New Branch, Little Swan, Gree, Haier, and other large carton packers. And their packaging can entrust certain enterprises to produce. It should be that the cartons produced by these commissioned units are unmatched by other factories. Just using the unit may not be very clear.
At present, there are many carton companies that feel uncomfortable with the new requirements put forward by customers, and customers can only retreat and order. Of course, the producers do everything possible to reduce the cost of raw materials, but most of them are still factories. It is technically difficult to break through in terms of the formula and process of adhesives, and it will be inevitable if customers continue to run away.
The application of the current national standards for carton requirements after joining the WTO remains to be explored. After China's entry into the WTO, the packaging of export commodities will expand rapidly. Other indicators that have not yet been put forward for cartons will inevitably break through existing requirements, such as carton packaging that is more suitable for remote, marine, and refrigerated storage. This will undoubtedly require higher adhesive and compressive performance of the carton. In particular, the proposal of moisture resistance and water resistance will make carton enterprises face a very passive situation. The pursuit of innovation to break through the inherent ways of thinking and methods should be the first issue that China's carton enterprises should consider.
At present, the domestic five-tier automatic line can reach more than 100 meters per minute, while the import line is mostly more than 150 meters, the higher the speed of the adhesive requirements, and the traditional method of making paste has been difficult to adapt, mainly in the adhesive Intensity. The production of machines is standard, but the paper and raw materials used are different. Therefore, it is impossible to adopt a single paste making method and ratio to adapt to changing paper and other raw materials. It is obviously impossible to find a formula that is suitable for use in all regions and factories, and it is entirely possible for each factory to work hard to find a formula that is suitable for the factory's equipment.
There are many reasons that affect the bond strength, such as the regulation of the machine, different materials, climate change, etc. In comparison, the production of adhesives is more important, and the production of adhesives is related to the paste making equipment. The inspection and operation of more than 500 three-layer or more paste machines, including single-sided machines, across the country, found that at least one-third of the paste making equipment could not meet the requirements:
First, it is mainly manifested in the fact that a large part of the company's paste making equipment is self-made, and the mixing strength and the rotational speed are not enough. This results in the inability of the slurry to hold the ripened pulp, the reaction is incomplete, and the main body and the carrier are mixed unevenly, affecting the amount of glue. The stability leads to unequal bonding strength of the paperboard.
Second, the ratio, measurement is not allowed. Domestic lines generally use the Stein Hall method, which is a two-step method. After the carrier and the main body are separately produced and mixed, the solid content of the carrier is well grasped, and the ratio of the carrier and the body can relatively stabilize the adhesion of the cardboard.
Third, with the proportion, the process should be changed according to the different paper used, the same orders, the same raw materials, using the same ratio.
Fourth, the seasonal changes, the proportion of formula should be amended and solid content, in order to try to save.
However, for the new automatic production lines added in the past two years, the speed is higher, and the adoption of high-strength and low-weight base papers is already an inevitable trend in the industry. In particular, the imported paper has a moisture-proof coating on the surface and uses the current adhesive formulation. It is difficult to achieve the desired adhesive strength, such as Finnish corrugated paper, Meika, Swedish white-faced bovine card, etc. To achieve compliance with the standard adhesive strength at high speeds, it is only possible to add other agents in the production of adhesives. The use of Jinqiang TD-515 water-reinforced additives produced by Changzhou Tianyuan Chemicals Co., Ltd. directly added to the starch paste to achieve a multiplier effect, increase the bond strength, and make the production of cardboard smoother, firmer and compressive. The special water resistance and moisture resistance can completely avoid the poor quality of empty drums, degumming, and cardboard softness before and after the production process.
Looking for a reasonable binder ratio and improving the mixing strength of the paste-making equipment, the use of additives can fully enable carton enterprises with automatic production lines to face the world's present and existing requirements for corrugated boxes.
